Guillaume Balezo

I am a PhD student (CIFRE) in AI and Computer Vision, working on deep learning methods applied to histopathological images (H&E and multiplex immunofluorescence). My PhD is conducted jointly at CBIO and STIM labs at Mines Paris PSL, and Sanofi (CIFRE), under the supervision of Roger Trullo, Albert Pla Planas, Etienne Decencière and Thomas Walter.

My research interests include weakly supervised learning on whole slide images, foundation models for digital pathology, image translation, and self-supervised learning.

Before my PhD, I worked as a Data Scientist at Tribun Health and KeenEye on histopathology and biomarker analysis.

I am finishing my PhD in November 2026 and am looking for a postdoctoral position starting in 2027, ideally abroad of France (China, US, or elsewhere).
